CLH Foundation is committed to ensuring that all members of the CLH community live with dignity and success. These are values we hold and commitments we have made to those we serve, no matter what. This we share with every member of the CLH community, including CLH Developmental Support Services direct support professionals, staff and volunteers.
CLH Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Our board members are members of the community who bring a welcome variety of skills and experiences to their leadership roles.
Christine Edwards joined the CLH Foundation team in 2025 as Philanthropy Officer and went on to become Executive Director in 2026. A dedicated fundraising professional with over 17 years of experience in the field, and she proudly earned her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation in 2022.
A committed Midland Rotarian since 2015, Christine embodies a community-minded spirit, channeling her passion into both her professional endeavors and volunteer efforts. Her admiration for the generosity of this community fuels her commitment to supporting essential services and programs.
Christine is eager to meet the supporters of CLH to discuss the positive impact of their ongoing generosity, as well as to connect with those who feel inspired to contribute to this vital cause.
Sue-Ellen Boyes joined CLH Foundation in April 2019 as Director of Development, and went on to serve as Executive Director until her retirement in August 2026.
Prior to coming to CLHF, Sue-Ellen was the Director of Development for the MacLaren Art Centre in Barrie. During her ten years there, she was responsible for corporate sponsorship, special event fundraising and individual giving as well as marketing and communications. Sue-Ellen has worked in fundraising and communications for her entire career, managing successful campaigns for The Shaw Festival, Varley Art Gallery, Havergal College and the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. She wholeheartedly enjoys working in North Simcoe, and greatly admires the spirit of generosity, community and “can-do” attitude she has found here.

The CLHF Board of Directors is responsible for setting the direction of CLH Foundation, overseeing fundraising activities, strategies for increased fundraising and community engagement opportunities, and monitoring and maintaining the foundation’s progress. Each one is passionately committed to the work of CLH Foundation to support the individuals who are served by CLH Developmental Support Services.

CLH Foundation raises $110,000 annually to cover the costs of unfunded medical and personal health essentials for the 90 adults who live in CLH Supported Living Homes.
Foundation for Success provides critical funds to individuals where there is no funding available and they othewise would not have access to health and medical assistance, learning and skill-building, or essentials for health and well-being.
CLH supports 36 members of the community with developmental disabilities who live independently but require some support to successfully negotiate the challenges of living on their own. Bridging the Gap is an initiative to address the overwhelming burden of trying to make ends meet on a very fixed income.

Born and raised in Midland, Kevin Cascagnette is an accomplished Art Director, designer, photographer, and videographer who believes in the power of connection and community. Known for his natural ability to bring people together, Kevin has built his career and volunteer work around creating meaningful relationships and finding ways to lift others up—whether through creative collaboration, local partnerships, or simple everyday celebrations.
His connection to CLH runs deep: more than 15 years ago, CLH became one of Kevin’s very first clients, inspiring a lasting appreciation for the organization’s mission and the people it supports. Over the years, that early partnership has grown into a true passion for celebrating the everyday moments of joy, progress, and connection that define the CLH community.
A proud Indigenous man, Kevin is also deeply involved in the broader community through his volunteer work with the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre, Rotary Clubs of Midland and Penetanguishene, SEED, and the Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation. As a founding member of the North Simcoe Rotaract Club, he helped expand the organization and raise more than $130,000 in support of local causes. Since joining the CLH Foundation Board of Directors in 2022, Kevin continues to bring his creativity, enthusiasm, marketing prowess, and talent for building connections to everything he does. Kevin has served as Director, Vice-President, and was elected President/Chair in 2026.
Emily Quesnelle was born and raised in Tiny, Ontario, with Métis roots in the Georgian Bay region. She now lives in Toronto, where she works in corporate partnerships and philanthropy for an Indigenous education organization.
With a career built in the non-profit sector, Emily has supported organizations in strengthening their impact through relationship-based philanthropy. She is deeply motivated by work that addresses social issues and advances meaningful change for equity-deserving groups. Emily has volunteered with local and national initiatives and currently serves on the Platform Board of Directors – an organization dedicated to advancing gender equity and justice for Black, Indigenous, and racialized women and gender-diverse youth.
Emily joined the CLH Foundation Board of Directors in 2025, and is honoured to give back to the community that shaped her, and looks forward to contributing to the Foundation’s continued success and the people it serves. She was elected as Vice-President in 2026.
Dorothy Blanks was raised and lives in Midland, Ontario. A mother of two children (Brittany and Kevin), Dorothy also has three grandchildren, Olivia, Frazer and Amelia, who are the joys of her life! In the financial industry for the past 30 years, Dorothy is the Branch Manager of Meridian Credit Union in Penetanguishene. Dorothy is very involved in the community, and joined the CLH Foundation Board of Directors in 2018, where she has served in many roles during this time: Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer and Director – with a commitment to focus her time to help enhance the lives of the people supported by CLH Developmental Support Services. Dorothy is the founding Board Member and Chair of the annual Walk This Way for CLH event.
Dorothy has always been passionate about giving back to the community that gives so much to others. She participates (or has in the past) in a volunteer capacity or as a committee member for a number of events and local initiatives, including:

Lois’ work experience throughout her career has focused on providing client centric service to meet individual needs. Relationship building, partnership development, caring and providing help are what she lists among her strongest abilities. Lois retired from North Simcoe Business Centre (formerly North Simcoe Community Futures Development Corporation) after 26 years, from the role of Client Care Coordinator. She provided support, guidance, coaching for new and existing entrepreneurs in both English and French, as well as assistance in the loan department.
Lois is deeply committed to the health and well-being of our community and her volunteer work is an important part of who she is. Lois joined the CLH Foundation Board in 2021, and now chairs the Bridging the Gap initiative. Her current and past volunteerism includes:
Debra Wicks is a seasoned healthcare leader with more than 40 years of experience in data analytics, health information management, finance, and organizational strategy. Known for her strong interpersonal and communication skills, she has built trusted relationships at all levels while leading high-performing teams and advancing data-driven decision-making. Her expertise includes data governance, information management, performance measurement, financial stewardship, and strategic planning.
Most recently, Debra served as Director of Data Analytics & Health Information Management at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care, where she led enterprise-wide analytics, information governance, and privacy initiatives. A resourceful and innovative strategic thinker, she is recognized for her strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and commitment to organizational excellence. Debra holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph and remains actively involved in her community through volunteer leadership and board roles with several nonprofit organizations.
Colleen Kelly-Berrichi is the Executive Director of CLH Developmental Support Services, and has over 35 years of experience in the developmental services sector. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer at Community Living South Muskoka, where she dedicated six years to the organization. Prior to this, Colleen spent 29 years at CLH Developmental Support Services in a variety of roles.
Colleen holds a Master’s degree in Adult Education from Yorkville University, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Laurentian University, and a Developmental Services Worker Diploma from Georgian College. A committed volunteer, Colleen has supported numerous local organizations, including many years of committee and event involvement with CLH Foundation, and is a proud member of the Penetanguishene Rotary Club. As Executive Director of CLH Developmental Support Services, Colleen serves as a key member of the CLH Foundation Board of Directors, providing insight on sector-related matters, organizational initiatives, and the needs of those served.
Sarah’s involvement with CLH Foundation began in 2016 when she joined the Red Carpet Evening Event Committee. She was elected to the Board of Directors in 2017, and that year was awarded with the Joyce Hamelin Volunteer of the Year Award. Sarah went on to serve as Vice-President, and finished her term as Board President in 2026.
Throughout her time with the Foundation, Sarah has been particularly committed to strengthening opportunities and supports for people served by CLH Developmental Support Services. Her leadership has contributed to the growth of many initiatives, as well as major fundraising and capital projects.
Sarah is the owner of One Stop Beauty Shop, where she works full-time with her aesthetic clientele while managing a successful local business and team.
