CLH Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Our board members are members of the community who bring a welcome variety of skills and experiences to their leadership roles.
Sue-Ellen Boyes joined CLH Foundation in April 2019. Prior to coming to CLHF, Sue-Ellen was the Director of Development for the MacLaren Art Centre in Barrie. During her ten years there, she was responsible for corporate sponsorship, special event fundraising and individual giving as well as marketing and communications. Sue-Ellen has worked in fundraising and communications for her entire career, managing successful campaigns for The Shaw Festival, Varley Art Gallery, Havergal College and the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. She wholeheartedly enjoys working in North Simcoe, and greatly admires the spirit of generosity, community and “can-do” attitude she has found here.
Christine Edwards is a dedicated fundraising professional with over 15 years of experience in the field, and she proudly earned her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation in 2022. A committed Midland Rotarian since 2015, Christine embodies a community-minded spirit, channeling her passion into both her professional endeavors and volunteer efforts. Her admiration for the generosity of this community fuels her commitment to supporting essential services and programs. Christine has found immense fulfillment in her work with CLH, where she collaborates closely with CLH supported individuals and staff to make a meaningful impact. As a Philanthropy Officer, Christine is eager to meet the supporters of CLH to discuss the positive impact of their ongoing generosity, as well as to connect with those who feel inspired to contribute to this vital cause.

The CLHF Board of Directors is responsible for setting the direction of CLH Foundation, overseeing fundraising activities, strategies for increased fundraising and community engagement opportunities, and monitoring and maintaining the foundation’s progress. CLH Foundation raises $110,000 annually to cover the costs of unfunded medical and personal health essentials for the 90 adults who live in CLH Supported Living Homes.
Foundation for Success provides critical funds to individuals where there is no funding available and they othewise would not have access to health and medical assistance, learning and skill-building, or essentials for health and well-being.
CLH supports 36 members of the community with developmental disabilities who live independently but require some support to successfully negotiate the challenges of living on their own. Bridging the Gap is an initiative to address the overwhelming burden of trying to make ends meet on a very fixed income.

Sarah Kitchen is the owner of One Stop Beauty Shop, where she works full-time with her aesthetic clientele while managing a successful business and team.
In 2017, Sarah was elected to the CLH Foundation Board of Directors after first joining the Red Carpet Evening Event Committee in 2016. That same year, she received the CLH Joyce Hamelin Volunteer of the Year Award. She now serves as Red Carpet Concert Event Chair, helping to lead the Foundation’s most successful annual fundraiser, and has been President of the CLHF Board since 2018.
Through her business and personal commitment, Sarah has supported numerous local non-profits and community events. Her past volunteerism includes the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Snow Run Ontario Event Committee, the Fore Pink Golf Tournament, the “A Day in the Life” Marketing Committee at the Midland Cultural Centre, CLH Developmental Support Services, and the Guesthouse Shelter. She also served as Head Judge for the Women of Excellence Awards, recognizing exceptional women in the community.
Sarah believes in giving back to the community where her business has flourished and continues to support local initiatives that strengthen and connect North Simcoe.
Born and raised in Midland, Kevin Cascagnette is an accomplished Art Director, designer, photographer, and videographer who believes in the power of connection and community. Known for his natural ability to bring people together, Kevin has built his career and volunteer work around creating meaningful relationships and finding ways to lift others up—whether through creative collaboration, local partnerships, or simple everyday celebrations.
His connection to CLH runs deep: more than 15 years ago, CLH became one of Kevin’s very first clients, inspiring a lasting appreciation for the organization’s mission and the people it supports. Over the years, that early partnership has grown into a true passion for celebrating the everyday moments of joy, progress, and connection that define the CLH community.
A proud Indigenous man, Kevin is also deeply involved in the broader community through his volunteer work with the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre, Rotary Clubs of Midland and Penetanguishene, SEED, and the Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation. As a founding member of the North Simcoe Rotaract Club, he helped expand the organization and raise more than $130,000 in support of local causes. Since joining the CLH Foundation Board of Directors in 2022, Kevin continues to bring his creativity, enthusiasm, marketing prowess, and talent for building connections to everything he does.
Dorothy Blanks was raised and lives in Midland, Ontario. A mother of two children, Brittany and Kevin, Dorothy also has three grandchildren, Olivia, Frazer and Amelia, who are the joys of her life! In the financial industry for the past 30 years, Dorothy is currently employed with Meridian Credit Union in Penetanguishene, as Branch Manager. Dorothy is very involved in the community, and joined the CLH Foundation Board of Directors in 2018, with a commitment to focus her time to help enhance the lives of the people supported by CLH Developmental Support Services. Dorothy has always been passionate about giving back to the community that gives so much to others. She participates (or has in the past) in a volunteer capacity or as a committee member for a number of events and local initiatives, including:
Lois Irvine’s work experience throughout her career has focused on providing client-centric service to meet individual needs. Relationship building, partnership development, caring and providing help are what she lists among her strongest abilities. Lois has worked at North Simcoe Community Futures Development Corporation – known now as North Simcoe Business Centre – since 2000, and is currently the Client Care Coordinator. Here she provides support, guidance, and coaching for new and existing entrepreneurs in both English and French, as well as assistance in the loan department.
Lois is deeply committed to the health and well-being of our community and her volunteer work is an important part of who she is. Lois joined the CLH Foundation Board in 2021. Her current and past volunteerism includes:
Emily Quesnelle was born and raised in Tiny, Ontario, with Métis roots in the Georgian Bay region. She now lives in Toronto, where she works in corporate partnerships and philanthropy for an Indigenous education organization.
With a career built in the nonprofit sector, Emily has supported organizations in strengthening their impact through relationship-based philanthropy. She is deeply motivated by work that addresses social issues and advances meaningful change for equity-deserving groups. Emily has volunteered with local and national initiatives and currently serves on the Platform Board of Directors – an organization dedicated to advancing gender equity and justice for Black, Indigenous, and racialized women and gender-diverse youth.
In joining the CLH Foundation Board of Directors, Emily is honoured to give back to the community that shaped her and looks forward to contributing to the Foundation’s continued success and the people it serves.
Dave Sibley retired after nearly 30 years with the Ontario Provincial Police as a Forensic Analyst and Certified Blood Stain Analyst.
From 2015-2020 Dave was a member of the Board of Directors at Independent Living Services of Simcoe County, a non-profit organization that works to help people remain active members of their communities and thrive as independent individuals in their own homes.
Dave was a member of the Board of Directors of CLH Developmental Support Services from 2006-2015. As a founding member of the revitalized A Red Carpet Evening event, Dave recognized the need to update CLH Foundation’s signature gala fundraiser and transform it into an upscale Canadian music event with headlining entertainment. He is a past Chair of this event, and remains an active member of the CLH Foundation A Red Carpet Concert Committee. He joined the CLH Foundation Board in 2021.< /p>
Dave is a volunteer fundraiser with many years of experience — and as a parent of an adult child who is supported by CLH Developmental Support Services, Dave is a passionate advocate for the work of the organization.
Colleen Kelly-Berrichi has over 35 years of experience in the developmental services sector. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer at Community Living South Muskoka, where she dedicated six years to the organization. Prior to this, Colleen spent 29 years at CLH Developmental Support Services in a variety of roles.
Colleen holds a Master’s degree in Adult Education from Yorkville University, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Laurentian University, and a Developmental Services Worker Diploma from Georgian College.
A committed volunteer, Colleen has supported numerous local organizations, including many years of committee and event involvement with CLH Foundation.
As Executive Director of CLH Developmental Support Services, Colleen serves as a Special Advisor to the CLH Foundation Board of Directors, providing insight on sector-related matters, organizational initiatives, and the needs of those served.
