YOUR SUPPORT MAKES AN IMPACT

EVERY DAY

When you support CLH Foundation and The Means to Thrive campaign, you ensure that individuals supported by CLH Developmental Support Services have access to the enriched opportunities, specialized supports, and vibrant community participation that help them truly thrive. You open doors to well-being, greater independence, richer experiences, and brighter futures.

Thank you for helping us create a community where every individual we support has the opportunity – and the means – to truly thrive.

Health and
Well-Being

COMMITMENT TO CARE

Commitment to Care supports CLH’s 24/7 lifetime care for 93 adults with developmental disabilities living in Supported Living Homes located in Midland, Penetanguishene, Victoria Harbour, Port McNicoll and Waubaushene. Beyond providing safe, caring housing and healthcare, CLH ensures residents stay physically, mentally, and emotionally well. By covering $110,000 annually in unfunded essentials, CLH Foundation fundraising ensures dignity, health, and connection for all.

Food Security &
Access To Essential Items

BRIDGING THE GAP

Bridging the Gap supports members of the Supported Independent Living (SIL) program, who live on their own in the community with support from CLH. On an ongoing basis, their limited monthly income leaves them facing food insecurity and limited access to essentials. Thanks to generous donations, this initiative provides critical ongoing support in the form of regular grocery top-ups, fresh food boxes, hands-on learning in the King St Hub kitchen, an annual community-led pantry restock and more – offering dignity, choice, and vital support beyond the scope of traditional funding.

Of Choice

FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS

Foundation for Success is CLH Foundation’s commitment to individuals served by CLH who face financial barriers and lack access to other funding for specialized support. Through an application process, it provides personalized support for essentials, health needs, inclusion, and skill building – filling gaps where no other help exists. One recent example: Foundation for Success funding covered pain management costs for an individual undergoing dental surgery. Those expenses were not eligible for any other funding support!

Community Participation
And Engagement

COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION SUPPORTS (CPS)

CLH Developmental Support Services delivers enriching weekday programs focused on skill-building, physical activity, and social connection to individuals with developmental disabilities who live in North Simcoe with family as well as those who live in CLH Supported Living Homes. CLH Foundation donors provide funds for enriched CPS opportunities and funds special celebrations and events such as the Holiday Dinner & Dance, CLH Hockey Classic, Spring Fling, Summer Fun Day, and celebration days – bringing joy and inclusion to the CLH community.
