Supports CLH’s 24/7 lifetime care for adults with developmental disabilities living in Supported Living Homes located in Midland, Penetanguishene, Victoria Harbour, Port McNicoll and Waubaushene. Beyond providing safe, caring housing and healthcare, CLH ensures residents stay physically, mentally, and emotionally well.
Through fundraising efforts by the CLH Foundation, essential services that are often underfunded are supported, ensuring dignity, health, and connection for everyone involved.
Bridging the Gap assists members of the Supported Independent Living (SIL) program who face food insecurity and limited access to essentials due to low monthly income.
With generous donations, the initiative offers grocery top-ups, fresh food boxes, hands-on kitchen learning at the King St Hub, and an annual pantry restock, providing dignity, choice, and essential support beyond traditional funding.
The Foundation for Success assists individuals facing financial barriers and lack of other specialized funding by providing personalized support for essentials, health needs, inclusion, and skill building, filling the gap where no other help exists.
An example of its impact is funding pain management costs for a dental surgery, which were not covered by other funding sources.
CLH Developmental Support Services offers weekday programs that promote skill-building, physical activity, and social connection for individuals with developmental disabilities in North Simcoe.
CLH Foundation donors provide funds that support enhanced opportunities and special events like the Holiday Dinner & Dance, CLH Hockey Classic, Spring Fling, and Summer Fun Day, fostering joy and inclusion within the CLH community.

Sarah’s involvement with CLH Foundation began in 2016 when she joined the Red Carpet Evening Event Committee. She was elected to the Board of Directors in 2017, and that year was awarded with the Joyce Hamelin Volunteer of the Year Award. Sarah went on to serve as Vice-President, and finished her term as Board President in 2026.
Throughout her time with the Foundation, Sarah has been particularly committed to strengthening opportunities and supports for people served by CLH Developmental Support Services. Her leadership has contributed to the growth of many initiatives, as well as major fundraising and capital projects.
Sarah is the owner of One Stop Beauty Shop, where she works full-time with her aesthetic clientele while managing a successful local business and team.
