CLH Bonspiel Bonanza Rocks!
The 2nd annual CLHF Bonspiel Bonanza raised more than $10,800 for Commitment to Care. Curlers really are our favourite
athletes – they make the day fun for themselves and everyone else. We had 16 teams on the ice, supported by eight
generous sponsors, including lead sponsor Primerica, the leadership of Chair Dave Sibley, the curling expertise of Carroll
Wilson and family PLUS the volunteer strength of the Midland Civitan Club!
The “BB” continued the precedent set last year with an excellent Silent Auction lineup, pleasing prizes for the winning
teams, a hefty championship trophy, and fantastic morning coffee, hearty lunch and afternoon snacks. Two particular
highlights: we finished with a thrilling play-off between Team Midland Toyota and Team Dusome to decide the champion,
and the winner of the 50-50 draw, Heath Crichton, donated his winnings right back to the cause.
